Sierra Oaks Vista Christmas Light Installation

Sacramento County’s zoning language describes Sierra Oaks Vista, in Arden-Arcade near the American River Parkway, as “a unique area of winding streets with large wide lots.” County planners aren’t known for flattery, so take them at their word. Large wide lots mean a lot of house front, a lot of yard, and a long way from the street to the nearest outlet. Sierra Oaks Vista Christmas light installation is how Sac Xmas Light Installation deals with all three.
A wide lot needs a plan more than it needs more lights
Under the County’s Neighborhood Preservation Area, new lots here have to be at least 30,000 square feet and 100 feet wide. That’s estate zoning, and it shapes the job. On a frontage that long, lighting everything evenly just looks thin. Lighting the right things looks like a house.
So the call to (916) 586-7193 usually goes like this. What does the street see first? Usually it’s the main roofline and the entry. Which one or two trees frame the place? And how far back does the house sit? From those answers we build a plan with a clear center and some depth, instead of a thin string of lights around the entire perimeter.
Distance drives the power plan as well. Deep setbacks put outlets far from the trees and the driveway mouth. Let us know where every outdoor outlet is, and we’ll route cords along bed edges and fence lines where they stay out of sight and out of the mower’s way.
The association question, answered straight
This one’s less simple than the neighborhoods around it. There is a Sierra Oaks Vista Neighborhood Association. There is also a separate Sierra Oaks Vista Lane Homeowners Association. We haven’t found holiday lighting rules for either, and inventing dates for you would be a poor way to start.
If you’re on the lane, or your association has sent you rules, read the current copy and tell us what it says. Install day and the January teardown will both be set to suit it. The County preservation zone, for the record, is about lot sizes and building, and has nothing to do with decorations.
Sierra Oaks Vista Christmas lights, piece by piece
Roofline lights. The street-facing eaves and gables get them, along with any peak worth showing off. Clips hold every strand. Tile, shake or shingle, tell us which, because each takes a different clip and a different amount of care underfoot.
Tree wraps. Trunks first, then the limbs a ladder can properly reach. On a wide lot, two wrapped trees flanking the drive do more than lights on a side wing nobody looks at.
Pillar and column wraps. Entry columns at the house, and gate or driveway posts if you have them.
Stake lighting. The long frontage and the driveway are where stakes pay off. We run them along the edge, set back from tires, and well away from sprinkler heads.
Lit wreaths and lit garland. The front door, a railing, an archway. Close-up pieces for the people who actually make it to your porch.
Quotes without a visit, and a clean roof in January
Phone or photos, your choice. Stand at the street, take a wide shot and a couple of closer ones, and text or email them. That tells us nearly everything, and a short call to (916) 586-7193 covers what’s left.
Every strand comes off our truck, and timers run the show. If something goes out mid-season, a quick call gets it repaired. In January we remove the entire display and take it with us, so you aren’t storing a single bin.
We work the other estate neighborhoods of Arden-Arcade too: Arden Oaks and its lighting contest, plus Sierra Oaks proper. For more on trees, read the tree wrapping page.
Sierra Oaks Vista Christmas light installation starts with a picture. Photos taken? Send them, then dial (916) 586-7193. No photos yet? Start at the contact page and we’ll ask for them.
Straight answers for Sierra Oaks Vista
Does Sierra Oaks Vista have an HOA with a holiday lights deadline?
There’s a neighborhood association and a separate homeowners association for Sierra Oaks Vista Lane. We haven’t found lighting rules for either, so check your current documents and we’ll plan around whatever they set.
Do I have to light the whole frontage of a wide lot?
No, and we’d talk you out of it. The main roofline, the entry and one or two trees usually look better than a thin line around everything.
My outlets are a long way from the trees I want lit. Is that a problem?
It’s a planning item, not a problem. Tell us where the outlets are and we’ll route cords along beds and fence lines.
How does a Sierra Oaks Vista Christmas light installation quote work on a wide lot?
Text or email a wide photo from the street and a few closer ones, then talk it through with us by phone. No visit is involved.
